Digital Access & Literacy

Access and use of information and communication technologies impacts both individuals and our community. A digitally inclusive community is important to economic and workforce development, civic engagement, education, healthcare, public safety and an overall quality of life.

SDEP Digital Access & Literacy Partners are focused on providing digital access as well as digital literacy training in an area void of WiFi connectivity, and are offering guidance and support to establish a Strategic Plan focused on:

     (1)  Access - to WiFi and the internet

     (2)  Affordability - for devices and connectivity

     (3)  Equipment - how to use, digital literacy

     (4)  Literacy - identify critical policies that are inhibiting

Our priority initiatives are to establish connectivity resources in South Dallas, devices and hot spots, and digital skills through education and training.
